People with disabilities want to work! Veterans with disabilities returning Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other vets, want to make a successful transition into the civilian workforce. Your support allows Project HIRED to be a significant force for individuals with disabilities to gain and sustain employment.

Career & Resource Fair Attendant
Represent Project HIRED at community career and resource fairs by working a table at the event. Become part of our outreach team! Depending on the event, you’ll be educating potential clients, employers and community organizations about the great work Project HIRED does.
Job Club Lead / Workshop Instructor
Lead our weekly Job Club with Corporate Trends, Networking and Action Group sessions. Instruct our interactive workshops that cover job search related topics including: self-assessments, career exploration, resume writing, interviewing skills, self-promotion and on the job – your first 90 days.
Career Coach
Volunteer in the Computer Resource Center by utilizing your interpersonal skills by meeting one-on-one with our job seekers to work on their resumes, cover letters and general job search techniques. Volunteers must have solid experience in interviewing and hiring. Human Resource, Recruiting, and Staffing background is a plus. Time commitment is 2 hours per week for 3 months; flexible schedule.
Office Assistant
Greet Project HIRED clients as they arrive for Orientation on Tuesdays. Make copies of training materials and other documents. Assemble donor packets used to introduce new corporations, businesses, organizations and individuals to Project HIRED’s mission. Organize office supplies cabinet and other duties that will keep our office running smoothly.
Call-a-thon Operator (Group Opportunity)
Work together as a team to call our supporters. You will be provided with a script that you can use in your own words. Call-a-thon themes could be to ask for donations, simply to thank donors for their support or a special request to take action.
25th “Silver” Recognition Breakfast: MAY 20, 2010
Help us with event invitations, planning, and setup, registration, escort guests to their tables and assist our clients with networking (6:00–7:30am). One meeting required at Project HIRED before the event.
8th Harvest Moon Dinner & Auction: OCTOBER 7, 2010
Join our Auction Committee today and contribute through planning and soliciting for auction items. Volunteer the day of the event assisting with planning and setup, perform registration and checkout, and many other activities. Attend volunteer training and planning sessions prior to the event.
