Project HIRED Service Dog Program

In cooperation with K9 Coach Plus, Project HIRED operates its Service Dog Program for Wounded Warriors as part of its Wounded Warrior Workforce Program. The program is available to qualified veteran clients of Project HIRED.

Our canine partnership program goes beyond matching disabled veterans with command-trained dogs. What makes our program special is the direct involvement of the human partners as early as possible. As soon as they are accepted into the program, clients become involved in dog selection and caretaking immediately, becoming the primary handlers and trainers of their own service dogs. This unique approach offers our clients greater control over their rehabilitation and better prepares them for employment success with their service dog in the civilian workplace.
